Meet the Brisbane-based advisory team behind supplier reviews and procurement guidance for owner-led Australian businesses.
Camellia Hub Business Advisory is the registered business name of our Brisbane practice. We were established in 2018 after our founding director spent twelve years in commercial procurement roles across manufacturing, hospitality supply, and commercial construction.
How we started
The firm began when several former colleagues — each running growing businesses — asked for help vetting suppliers they no longer had time to assess properly. What started as informal second opinions became a structured advisory practice focused on firms that had outgrown ad-hoc purchasing but were not large enough to employ a full procurement team.
What we do today
We review vendor performance, compare quotes on a like-for-like basis, draft procurement policies that staff can follow, and sit alongside owners during contract negotiations. Our clients are typically Queensland-based businesses with ten to eighty staff, though we also work interstate by video and document review.
Our team
Helena Marsh — founding director. Former head of procurement at a regional food manufacturer. CIPS-qualified. Leads supplier audits and framework design.
David Okafor — senior advisor. Background in commercial fit-out purchasing and subcontractor management. Handles negotiation support and site-based supplier assessments.
Priya Nair — analyst. Prepares quote normalisation spreadsheets, insurance verification, and ASIC lookups. Supports audit delivery and client workshops.
Working approach
We keep engagements bounded. You receive written deliverables — findings reports, comparison tables, draft policies — rather than open-ended retainers unless you explicitly request ongoing support. Site visits are arranged when physical goods, warehouse conditions, or on-site service delivery matter to the decision.
