Client Stories

Testimonials and project accounts from Australian firms who used Camellia Hub for supplier review and procurement advisory.

Short reflections

We were about to sign a three-year cleaning contract. The audit showed the quote excluded window cycles on upper floors — a detail buried in the schedule. We sent it back for revision and saved roughly $8,000 over the term.

— Rachel M., facility manager, medical clinic group, Sunshine Coast

Camellia Hub's framework gave our warehouse supervisor a clear threshold for when she could approve a purchase herself. Fewer bottlenecks, and I still see everything above $2,500.

— Jon K., owner, irrigation supplies, Toowoomba

The report was thorough — perhaps more thorough than we needed for a single stationery vendor. In hindsight I should have scoped a lighter review. Still useful, just more detail than our situation required.

— Anita S., office manager, architecture studio, Brisbane

Case: Regional bakery supplier switch

Client: Wholesale bakery, 34 staff, Gold Coast
Challenge: Primary flour supplier announced a 14% price increase with six weeks’ notice. Backup supplier quoted lower per tonne but different protein specs and delivery windows.

Our work: Compared specifications against production batch records, normalised freight and pallet charges, and interviewed the backup mill’s logistics coordinator. Verified food-safety certifications and insurance.

Outcome: Client negotiated a staged price rise with the incumbent (7% over six months) while qualifying the backup supplier for contingency orders. Production consistency was maintained and the owner avoided a rushed switch during peak season.

Case: Fit-out subcontractor panel review

Client: Commercial fit-out contractor, Brisbane
Challenge: Three joinery subcontractors on the panel; two recent project delays attributed to supplier capacity.

Our work: Site visits to each workshop, review of WHS documentation, reference checks with two prior clients per subcontractor, and comparison of lead-time claims against actual delivery data from the client’s last eight jobs.

Outcome: One subcontractor removed from the preferred panel, one retained with revised milestone clauses, and a new entrant added after passing the review. The client reported fewer handover disputes in the following two projects.
